Vajinoplasti

What is vaginoplasty?

Vaginoplasty is another name for ‘surgical vagina tightening’, also known as vaginal aesthetics. In addition, the operations performed to create a vaginal canal in order to have sexual intercourse in women who do not have a congenital vagina and who have a short and blunt vagina are also known as vaginoplasty. Its medical name is ‘Vaginoplasty’. (Vagina: sheath, -plasty: means plastic surgery.)

Vaginoplasty is most often preferred to re-enhance sexual pleasure in enlarged, sagging and reduced insensitivity vaginas. It provides both aesthetic and functional gains.

What Causes Vagina Enlargement?

Vaginal enlargement most often occurs after births, especially after difficult births. In addition, aging, decrease in connective tissue due to menopause, structurally poor collagen structure, smoking, irregular diet, pregnancies, and lack of physical exercise are among the factors.

Even if pregnancies result in cesarean section, enlargement of the vagina may occur. On the other hand, vaginal enlargement may be congenital (structural) even if there is no pregnancy. In all such cases, sometimes vaginal narrowing with laser or radiofrequency technologies, and sometimes surgical vagina narrowing may be preferred.

How is Vaginoplasty Surgery Performed?

Vaginoplasty operation is a reconstructive (reconstructive) operation rather than aesthetic, which can be performed in the general hospital and in clinical settings under appropriate conditions. The aim is to regain vaginal tightness and narrowing. Operation; It includes processes such as a rhombic incision made at the back of the vagina, separating and removing the skin tissue there, approaching the muscles if there is muscle weakness, and re-suturing the tissue. It usually takes 1-1.5 hours.

In the vaginoplasty operations performed in our clinic, the entire vagina is narrowed in the form of ‘Complete vaginal tightening’. At the same time, aesthetic improvement is achieved with perineal correction.

Perineal Aesthetics During Vagina Tightening
During the vaginal tightening operation, it is often necessary to correct the perineum, that is, the area between the vagina and the anus. Removal of birthmarks and skin tags here provides aesthetic and functional benefits. On the other hand, removing the excessive opening of the vaginal entrance and increasing the distance between the vagina and anus are also protective in terms of infections.

Pelvic Organ Prolapses Through the Vagina
Bladder, bowel or uterus prolapses through the vagina are caused by excessive loosening of the connective and muscle tissue in this area. Difficult births are the biggest factor. It is known as bladder prolapse (cystocele), bowel prolapse (rectocele or enterocele), uterine prolapse (prolapse uteri). In this case, pelvic organ sagging can be corrected with reconstructive vaginal surgery operations.

How Does Vaginal Tightening Affect Sexual Pleasure?

One of the most basic elements in marriage is sexuality. According to many studies and our own observations; Vaginal tightening surgeries have a positive effect on sexual pleasure, orgasm and arousal in both men and women. It also increases self-confidence.

Social Life After Vaginoplasty
You can return to social life 3-4 days after the vaginoplasty operation. It is recommended to avoid painful sports for 1 month and intercourse for 1.5 months. In terms of post-operative wound healing, it is important to regularly take prescribed pain relievers and antibiotic-derived drugs, and to make dressings regularly for 7 days.
