LİPOSUCTION

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is the removal of subcutaneous adipose tissue from the body with the help of thin cannulas (2.3 mm). In this way, it is aimed to treat regional deformities in the body due to excess fat.

Who Is Liposuction Suitable For?

Liposuction is a suitable treatment approach for people who have excess fat in undesirable areas despite a suitable diet, sports and lifestyle. At this point, the main thing to know is that liposuction is not a weight loss method. It is used for shaping people with regional excess fat tissue such as abdomen, waist, hips.

How is Liposuction Performed?

In this procedure, which is performed in large numbers all over the world, the fat tissue in the targeted area can be liquefied by different methods. In this way, the fat becomes easily absorbable (suction) and the fat is taken out of the body with the help of thin cannulas.

Where Can Liposuction Be Applied?

Neck – jowl, arms, abdomen-belly, waist, back, hips, legs and inner knees are among the areas where liposuction can be done for body shaping purposes.

Will there be any scars after liposuction?

One of the most curious issues of people who want to have the application is whether there will be a scar after the procedure. It is done with the help of blunt metal thin pipes called cannula for degreasing during the procedure. Cannulas are passed under the skin through thin incisions not exceeding 0.5 cm on the skin. After the procedure performed in this way, when the healing is completed, there is no obvious scar.

How is Fat Melted in Liposuction?

Different technologies are used to liquefy adipose tissue. In classical liposuction, the adipose tissue is mechanically divided into tiny pieces and liquefied through cannulas, and then absorbed and taken out of the body. In laser liposuction, the fat is broken down and then absorbed by a cannula that emits a laser beam. In modern approaches (VASER Liposuction) where ultrasonic sound waves are used, the fat tissue is broken down by ultrasonic sound waves.

What are the Benefits of Vaser Liposuction Method?

With VASER technology, targeting only fat cells during the fat removal process ensures the protection of blood vessels, lymph vessels, nerves and other tissues that support the skin. With the absence of vascular damage, the healing process is faster as there is less pain, bruising and edema after the procedure.

In this method, by selectively targeting only the fat tissue, it provides convenience in the application in areas such as the back where the connective tissue is dense and the breast area in men (in the treatment of gynecomastia).

Due to the preservation of the vascular and nerve structures, it also provides the opportunity to interfere with the superficial fat cells under the skin without disturbing the circulation of the skin, which allows the skin to tighten more during healing.
